Waves
-
Types of waves
Seismic waves - Seismic waves are caused by the shaking of the ground. The shaking is formed from an earthquake and disturbs the ground, which sends waves.
Mechanical waves - Mechanical waves are waves caused by physical activity/movement. This can be clapping your hands, which sends waves out.
Transverse wave - This is when the wave oscillates perpendicular to the equilibrium point. Water waves are an example.

Interferences
-
Constructive interference - Constructive interference is where 2 waves add together to make a larger wave.
Destructive interference - Destructive interference is where 2 waves cancel each other out to give a smaller resulting wave.
Hertz of sounds
-
Ultrasound - Sounds above 20,000Hz. Dolphins use ultrasound to communicate.
