bacteria growth curve
- lag phase- small increase since the group's adjusting to new conditions.
- exponential phrase- rapid growth since presence of plenty food and ideal conditions.
- stationary phrase- population growth at 0 since equal amounts of death and production.
- death phrase- because of the toxins around and lack of nutrients, population drops.

Bacteria feeding
-
heterotrophic bacteria cannot make their own food and have to rely on organic materials produced by other organisms.
Saprotrophic bacteria live off of dead organisms, or decaying/decomposition-ing organisms. this is responsible for making food go off.

respiration
Anaerobic respiration is the process of energy production without the need for oxygen. When Anaerobic respiration takes place the bacteria converts sugar to pyruvic acid which then gets converted to lactic acid. this process is called fermentation. this process also releases some energy.
Aerobic respiration takes place with the use of oxygen. This happens when sugar and oxygen converts to Carbon Dioxide, water and lots of energy.
