Aspects of a Crisis, Crisis intervention attempts to assist…
-
Crisis intervention attempts to assist individuals who are experiencing temporary affective, behavioral, and/or cognitive symptoms associated with a crisis event.
-
It is sometimes the case that crisis intervention occurs within counseling relationships that are ongoing.
Once the client is safe and stable, other forms of counseling may be initiated or resumed.
Happens at the spur of the moment but may also be conceptualized differently by different types of counselors. Depends on the crisis scenario.
