Formulating PR plans and strategies
create and implement PR campaigns and initiatives that align with the company’s goals and objectives, and that enhance its voice and presence through various channels.
Managing media relations and requests.
build and maintain relationships with media contacts, such as journalists, bloggers, influencers, etc.
pitch them story ideas, press releases, case studies, white papers, etc., that showcase the company’s achievements, products, services, events, etc.
handle media inquiries and respond to them in a timely and professional manner.
Copywriting
press releases, pitches, media summaries, speeches, newsletters, social media posts, etc.
that communicate the company’s key messages and stories to the target audience
Planing Event
organize and coordinate PR events, such as press conferences, product launches, webinars, interviews, etc.
that generate media coverage and public interest for the company
manage the logistics, budget, invitations, attendance, etc., of these events.
Analyzing public opinion
Monitor and measure the effectiveness of the PR activities and the media coverage using various tools and metrics.
I would also conduct research and surveys to understand the public perception and sentiment towards the company and its brand.

• Covering organizational events like visit of celebrities in campus for promoting some activity or blood donation camps, award functions etc

Qualification
Communication skills.
communicate effectively and persuasively with different audiences and stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
I would also need to listen actively and attentively to feedback and criticism.
Creativity skills
Need to come up with original and innovative ideas and solutions that capture the attention and interest of the media and the public. I would also need to adapt to changing situations and challenges
Relationship-building skills
establish and maintain positive and trusting relationships with media contacts, clients, colleagues, partners, etc.
collaborate and cooperate with others in a team-oriented environment.
Organizational skills
Planing and prioritize multiple tasks and projects efficiently and effectively. I would also need to manage time and resources well under pressure and deadlines
What is
Media relation is the relation that a organization forms with media people like journalists and editors etc for the purpose of propagating a positive image of company’s policies, practices, values and image.
It is a powerful tool for influencing people as journalism is a third person view unlike company advocated blogs, official website, newsletter and promotional activities
It is more credible and hence more effective in changing and affecting people’s behaviour and attitude towards and company or a brand. Apart from that it has a wider reach so the news could reach a large set of audience.
Media relations could work both ways
company might reach out to media which is often the case or
media might reach out to cover a story about the company.
