Malaya gained independence on 31
August 1957
Idea of Tunku Abdul Rahman on 27 May 1961, economic & political alliance between Malaya and British-colonized regions.
Factors Affcting the formation of Malaysia
Threat and influence of the communists
Singapore was a small country & not able
to stand on its own

Only engaged in agricultural sector
