Concept: Explanation on how some insects help and hurt humans. Example, Bees pollinate flowers while some insects like mosquitos feed on us.
Activity: Identifying harmful and helpful insects.
-The learners will do an activity where they would have to state whether or not an insect is helpful or harmful.
How insects adapt to their environments.
Activity: Crossword puzzle
-The crossword puzzle will consist of simple questions that have to do with the adaption of insects.
Concept: different aspects of how insects adapt physically to their specific environments. Example, bees have wings that help them fly from flower to flower.
Places different insects are found.
Concept: Introduction to different habitats insects live in. Examples of these habitats: Deserts, bodies of water, Mountains, etc.
Activity: Match the habitats with the insects
-The learners will do an activity where they will be expected to match columns A and B. A, being an image of an insect and B being the names of different habitats/ environment.

-The learners will be shown an insect, a ladybug or butterfly and then they will have to draw it.

Concept: Showcase different inventions that protect us from insects
Activity: Make their own mosquito net.
-The learners will be given pieces of net and they would have to design their own mosquito net, with assistance from the teacher.
