The beginning

The prophet Moses guided the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt and received the Ten Commandments at Mount Sinai.
According to Jewish tradition, God placed Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden and commanded them not to eat fruit from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.
They were tempted by the serpent (interpreted as the devil) and later were expelled from the Garden of Eden by God.
