- - - - Every insect starts off in the form of an egg ,however, not all insects go through 4 stages of life. Those who do go through the 4 stages of life, they start off as an egg, then turn into larvae, then pupa, and the final stage is when they are an adult.         The life span of insects does vary,some insects can live up to a few hours while others can live up to decades.
