Gradient can be calculated in two ways
First way
Gradient = rise divided by run
Second way
Gradient =

divided by
"x2 - x1"
If m = 0, the line is horizontal with no incline or decline.
If m > 0, the line slopes upwards with an incline
If m < 0, the line slopes downwards with a decline
