High Level
average cost per item decreases over time. Even as overall research spending goes up as we expand coverage, datasets, etc, we continue to decrease the average cost to collecting existing datasets.
-
Tasks/projects pass through fewer hands (less checklists with tasks being passed from person to person, more automation and automatic hand off)
Quick pipeline from start new project > identify repetitive actions > automate. Rinse and repeat. More challenging and innovative work done by staff, more mundane tasks done by tools.

Candidate lists:
Often when thinking about CL efficiency I can't help but compare to our spreadsheet process but unsure if I should do that
Without thinking about spreadsheets, I think efficiency can be thought of in terms of speed entering candidates once lists are received.
Also thinking about reduced time QAing for PMs. Hard to quantify/calculate though because we've never tracked PM time QAing

as much as possible, not launching projects before materials are available!

Creating, retaining, and sharing detailed training materials that provide guidance to researchers by outlining what to do in a multitude of situations, including edge cases
For Election Results "Efficiency" is least amount of time required to enter results (Researcher perspective) and address flags in bulk (PM perspective)
