Gender dynamics play a significant role in hindering the increased uptake of improved cookstoves across all stages of the consumer lifecycle. Women face specific barriers, including limited decision-making power, financial constraints, and trust disparities compared to men. While awareness of improved cookstoves is relatively equal between genders, women perceive greater difficulty in saving money for the purchase. Men, on the other hand, appear more aware of health impacts associated with baseline stoves, yet both genders trust different entities for stove recommendations.
