Overall, culture circles are based on two basic tenets of education (Feitosa, 1999a; Freire, 1985) and the process of educating. These tenets take place within which the learners live, as their problems are analyzed politically, and dialogue is used as a way to progres and find solutions to those problems. Dialogue became a concept for Freire that, in the 1980s, he began using dialogue in text format as his method advocated (Institut Gadotti, & Antunes, n.d.).
