Students
“Students learning in interdisciplinary settings performed better on state tests and had greater social outcomes than students learning the same content without an interdisciplinary approach.” Gerke, Anna (1970)
It was what worked best for students and supported their teachings in many ways while also giving students the freedom to learn on their own. Park Rogers, M. (2017).
Guardians
Anyone can help to do our best to foster children's minds by making connections wherever we can so it’s not as much as a headache later on Millei, Zsuzsa, and Robert Imre. (2016)
Interdisciplinary learning teaches students; the ability to recognize biases, think critically, embrace ambiguity and analyze ethical concerns. These skills engage students to solve complex problems and forces them to get a deeper understanding of new material from different disciplines and be open minded to new ideas. This doesn't have to be something taught at schools families can do this in their own homes too. Sudderth, Anna (2023)
