        22 For the LORD will not forsake his people, for his great name’s sake, because it has pleased the LORD to make you a people for himself.
        
        What Samuel could do on his role:
        23 Moreover, as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the LORD by ceasing to pray for you, and I will instruct you in the good and the right way.
        Advice again:
        24 Only fear the LORD and serve him faithfully with all your heart.
        Motivate the people by recalling what GOD did and telling what consequence would be if getting strayed:
        For consider what great things he has done for you. 25 But if you still do wickedly, you shall be swept away, both you and your king.

        Ahimelech questioned Saul who was so faithful as David and honoured in his house and is his son in law and his bodyguard captain?
        
        Saul said Ahimelech, the priest of the LORD and his house should die because he knew the flee of David and did not disclose and was with David, but no servants would strike him
        
        Doeg the Edomite turned and struck down the priests, and he killed on that day eighty-five persons who wore the linen ephod. 19 And Nob, the city of the priests, he put to the sword; both man and woman, child and infant, ox, donkey and sheep, he put to the sword.
        
        Abiathar, one of Ahimelech's sons fled to meet David and David occasioned the death of his house and told him to be with him for safeguarding because Saul also was seeking his life as well.

        15 Now the day before Saul came, the LORD had revealed to Samuel: 16 “Tomorrow about this time I will send to you a man from the land of Benjamin, and you shall anoint him to be prince3 over my people Israel. He shall save my people from the hand of the Philistines. For I have seen4 my people, because their cry has come to me.” 17 When Samuel saw Saul, the LORD told him, “Here is the man of whom I spoke to you! He it is who shall restrain my people.”
        
        1 Samuel 10:16 - And Saul said to his uncle, “He told us plainly that the donkeys had been found.” But about the matter of the kingdom, of which Samuel had spoken, he did not tell him anything.
        
        1 Samuel 11:5 - Now, behold, Saul was coming from the field behind the oxen. And Saul said, “What is wrong with the people, that they are weeping?” So they told him the news of the men of Jabesh.

        1 Samuel 13:1 - Saul lived for one year and then became king, and when he had reigned for two years over Israel,
        
        1 Samuel 13:10 - As soon as he had finished offering the burnt offering, behold, Samuel came. And Saul went out to meet him and greet him.

      - Saul's attitude towards GOD is on surface and does not follow GOD's will to reign the Israel and attention to his own interest, authority more than to seeking GOD
