- - - - 1.Read the questions before you listen.
        
        Underline or highlight key words in the questions. Think of synonyms of key words
        3.Try to predict what you are going to hear:
        
        What is the general topic?
        
        Who is speaking?
        
        Where are they?
        
        What vocabulary do you know on this topic?
        4.What form should your answer take? A,B,C; (i) (ii), (iii); words or phrases
        5.For gap fill questions:
        
        What is the word limit? ONE/TWO/THREE WORDS AND/OR A NUMBER
        
        What type of word fits in the gap? noun, verb, adjective
    - - 1.The information you hear on the recording is in the same order as the questions
        2.You must keep up with the recording. If you miss a question, keep up with the recording. Stay calm and positive.
        You can go back later and answer any questions you missed.
        3.For each question, listen for synonyms in the recording, or listen for words with a similar meaning
        4.Listen for signpost words, especially in Part 4, that help you understand what information you are going to listen to next
        and how the ideas are related
        5.As you listen to the recording, cross out options that don’t fit. This makes it easier for you to choose the right answer
        6.Try to read 1-2 questions ahead. For example, when you hear the answer for number 3, you should be looking ahead at questions 4 and 5
    - - 1.Check that you have answered all the questions. Do not leave any blanks. It is always better to make an educated guess
        2.Check that you have used a word with the correct meaning
        3.Check that you have used the correct word form (noun, verb, adjective)
        4.Check that you have used the correct answer form (A B C; i, ii, iii; words or phrases)
        5.Check word limit questions. Make sure you did not write more than the maximum number of words and/or a number
        6.Check that you have not repeated words
        7.Check your spelling. If the word is in the question booklet, copy it carefully
        8.Check your grammar carefully
