Uses
They are used to study developing fetus (unborn baby), a person's abdominal and pelvic organs, muscles and tendons, or their heart and blood vessels.
How does it work?
It uses sound waves to make pictures of organs, tissues, and other structures inside your body.
What is it?
An ultrasound is an imaging test that allow doctors to see inside your body without surgery. It is also called ultrasonography or sonography.

What is it?
An x-ray is electromagnetic radiation that has higher energy than light so it can pass through mass. It is a quick and painless procedure.

Uses
It is commonly used to take images from the inside of the body, to look at the bones and tissues.

X-rays are a form of electromagnetic radiation similar to the visible light. Although they are similar, X-rays have higher energy levels and they can go through most objects (including the human body). Medical X-rays are pictures generated when the intense energy from the electrons collides with the atoms in a metal plate at high velocity.
Can be used to identify tumors, injury and diseases in the body. If you have a really strong stomach ache, you can see possible tumors with tomography.
