E. coli infection >> B- glucoronidase production >> hydrolyses bil. glucoronide to insoluble bilirubin ( precepitate ca bilirubinate)

Clinical picture
-
- 2-3% of asymptomatic pt. develop symptoms ( mainly biliary colic)
- 3-5% of symptomatic pt. develop complications
