Theories (laws)
Weber's Law
"Just noticeable difference" between 2 stimuli is a constant proportion of the intensity of the original stimulus. EG One light bulb is 2x as bright as another bulb, it will take twice as much increase in the intensity of the second light bulb for the 2 to appear equally bright.
(A constant proportional difference)
*Just noticeable difference also called "difference threshold"

Steven's Power Law
Perceived intensity of a stimulus is r/t its actual intensity raised to some power, indicating a non-linear relationship.

Weber: JND - Just Noticeable Difference
(% of diff. = weight lifting, you have a just noticeable difference of your body everyday) + lower/less logarithmic
Weber - Fechner - Logarithmic (extreme/intense logarithmic)
