Explorer
-
CONS: Pretty linear, can be exploited, doesn't feel like exploration. Let's try a bit different layout with different paths or different incentives for different regions and maybe have "stuff" happening depending on which path we take.
To DO: theme stuff, so we figure out layout. Shattered plains, sunk islands, desolate riverbeds,
Architect
PROS: Everything is used. We need to graphically separate Map tents from Buildings, but still maintain the same structure. Can it be done? maybe art or iconography
CONS: 1.Building roads with architect. Lets not. We can try the architect "freeing up" roads for the explorer to use.
- May run out of buildings quickly, try to add 1 more of each type. Can the tent sites be cleaned somehow? there might be a situation for a player to keep a tent in each zone.
- Can we have 3 tent slots per zone?
TO DO: Make "gray" building tokens with an 1/4 art of temple, so when all 4 are combined it looks like a temple from the top. We can have different temples for different art (...and possibly different uses)
Merchant
- Bumps/ 2. Refresh/ 3. Rise bar
No one buys resources, most are gotten from Explorer. No one discards cards due the action being expensive (TRY Refresh fix)
Scribe
PROS: Combos well with Archeology. The system works, build around this!
CONS: Figure graphic layout. Maybe we have the action and the general pool of ink near the Achievement (scribe associated) board.
Archeology
PROS: Provides a lot of points, given you manage other stuff properly. One of the more thematic things to the game, so we make it look like that.
CONS: 1. If more players lean in to it, there aren't enough components to sustain the game.
- We probably don't need cards that big, so we need to update a better market, and recheck all costs.
Cultist
PROS: It provides everything, so it's a safety net if you get stuck. Running away early on is a viable thing with the track.
CONS: It provides everything. Also the theme is a bit off on this one. Can we try multiple tracks, with some hidden bonuses and/or debuffs, and rename the action as Adventurers/Heroes/, and go dungeon diving.
