The daily mail is owned by the Harmsworth family and the current chairman of the daily mail is jonathan harmsworth the company. the company as a whole is owned by the daily mail and general trust which is a multinational media company
The daily mail is a tabloid newspaper which has a right wing political alignment meaning the conservative party this paper is also typically aimed more at women.
The daily mail was formerly a broadsheet newspaper but has now changed to a tabloid format this change occurred in 1971 this is evident by articles such as "EXCLUSIVE - Simon Cowell sells £45m mansion in Holland Park and quits London 'because he no longer feels safe' after string of home invasions including £1m jewellery raid"
The daily mail is available on various different platforms most commonly via print and online however it does also target the youth via an app which is available to make it more accessible and simpler to use and read

The bbc is a broadcasting institution, this is evident as it publishes its news through outlets such as radio and tv
the ownership of the bbc is independent as it is funded by the public and therefore is not effected by direct government intervention
as the BBC is funded by the public they are not allowed to have a bias to either side as they have an expectation and responsibility to cater to all audiences
the BBC utilises platforms like online articles as well as tv , radio and on their app this allows them to reach a lot of different audiences and makes them more diverse than their competitors
GUARDIAN
the guardian broadcasts its news via a tabloid format this means that ti focuses more on celebrity news and things such as crime stories , this is evident by recent headlines such as "Fran Drescher’s fiery speech against Hollywood studios goes viral as actors strike"
the guardian is owned by scott trust limited and are horizontally integrated with various different sister companies like the observer and guardian weekly
Blind bias surveys (various political people are asked to rate a article left or right without knowing who wrote it) showed that the guardian tends to lean left when releasing articles
The guardian are available through various different platforms these include , print , online and app. these platforms are used as it allows them to reach various different people ie older people may like print where as younger people may rather see it on a phone
BUZZFEED
buzzfeed news is owned by buzzfeed and is a subsidiary however buzzfeed is now a public company meaning shares can be bought or sold on the stock market.
buzzfeed news has a bias towards the left much more considerably than the guardian which simply leans left.
buzzfeed news is a tabloid news outlet this is evident by their focus of articles being on celebrities or "viral content" articles such as "18 Fun Facts About '90s Pop Culture You Might Not Know, But Are Honestly Fascinating"
Buzzfeed was available via app and website however buzzfeed news has now closed down meaning no new articles will be posted although old articles can still be reached via the website
