REASOURCE AND DEVELOPMENT
Development of Resources
Indiscriminately exploitation of resources which led to global ecological crisis Gobla warming, Ozon layer depletion, environmental pollution and land degradation.
Accumulation of resources in few hand in trun divides the society in two segments i.e. have and have not or rich and poor
Depletion of Resources to satisfy the greed's of few individuals
Why is Reasource Planning Important
An equitable distribution of reasources has become essential for sustained life and global Peace.
If the present trend of Reasource depletion by of few individuals or coutriers continues , the future of our planet is in danger. Thus .....
What is sustainable development ?
Sustainable ecomnomical development ' development should take place without damaging the enivornment and development in the present should not comprise the neeeds of our future generation.'
Reasource Planning
Its imp for country like india bc enomours diversity in the availability of reasouces. There are region which are rich in certain type of reasource and some are deficient in some other reasource.
There are some region which considered to be self-sufficient in term of availability of reasources and some region with acute storage of reasouces.
Reasource planning is tthe widely accepted strategy for judicious use of reasource.
1.Arunachal pradesh has abandunce of water but lacks infrasructural development.
2.States of Rajastan is very well rndowed with solar and wind energy but lack water reasource.
3.The Cold Desert of ladhak is relatively isolated from the rest of the conutry. It has rich cultural heritage but lack in water, infrastructure and some vital minerals.
Land as Reasource
It supports natural vegtation , wild life, human life, economic ativities , transport and comunicatiion system.
Land is a asset of a finite magnnitude, therefore its import to use of the available land for various purpose with careful planning
Land is a natural reasource of upmost impotance.
In India we have variety of relif features like Mountains, Plateau, Plain and islands.
43 % of land area in plains.which provides facilities for agriculture and industry.
30% of land area in Mountain. It ensure perrenial flow of some rivers and provides facilities for tourism and ecological assets.
27% of land area in Plateau. It proccesses rich reserves of minerals, fossil fuels and forest
Reasource Planning in India
(i)Identification and inventary of reasouces in the region across the country which involves mapping, surveying , qualitative and quantitative elimination and measurment of reasouces.
(ii) Envolving a planning stucture endowed with appopriate Technology ,skill and institutional set up for implementing the reasource development plans.
(iii) Matching the reasource development plans with overall national development plans.
Land utilisation
Other unclutivated land
(i)Permanent pasture and grazing land
(ii)Land under miscellaneous tree crops
(iii)Culturable waste land (left unclutivated for more than 5 agricultural year)
Fallow Land
(i) Current fallow(its not cultivated for one or less than one agricultural year )
(ii) Ohter than current fallow land (its not cultivated forfor the past 1 to 5 agricultural year)
Land not available for cultivation,...(i) Barren and waste land.
(ii) Land put for non- agriculture use e.g buillding, roads, factories
Physical extent of land on which crops aree sown harvested are known as Net sown area. ........................ Area sown more than oonce in a year plus the net sown are is Gross cropped area
Forest
