Types
Intensive (controlled)
Meaning and context are some importance in determining correctness and appropriateness, but mostly focused on form.
Responsive Writing
The learners are required to perform at a limited discourse level, connecting sentences into a paragraph and creating a logically connected sequence of two or three paragraphs.
Imitative Writing
This category includes the ability to spell correctly and to perceive phoneme-grapheme correspondences in the English spelling system.
Extensive Writing
It implies successful management of all the processes and strategies of writing for all purposes, up to the length of an essay, a term paper, a major research paper, and even a thesis

Microskills:
- Produce graphemes and orthographic patterns of English.
- Produce writing at an efficient rate of speed to suit the purpose.
- Produce an acceptable core of words and use appropriate word order patterns.
- Use acceptable grammatical systems (e.g. tense, agreement, pluralization), patterns, patterns, and rules.
- Express a particular meaning in different grammatical forms.

Macroskills:
- Use the rhetorical forms and conventions of written discourse.
- Appropriately accomplish the communicative functions of written texts according to form and purpose.

- Distinguish between literal and implied meanings when writing.

Definition
Writing testing assesses students' ability to produce written language effectively, with a focus on grammar, vocabulary, organization, coherence, and clarity. It evaluates their writing skills and their capacity to convey ideas in written form.
Princples:
Writing testing aims to assess students' ability to express their thoughts, ideas, and arguments in a coherent and well-structured manner. It evaluates their grammatical accuracy, vocabulary usage, and writing conventions.
