        Disk clean up tools for storage problems: removes unnecessary files, freeing up space on a computer's hard drive

        Disk Fragmentation tools for a Fragmented Hard Drive (Hardware problem): reorganise files that have become fragmented and scattered across different locations for improved efficiency
        
        File compression tools for storage problems: reduce storage space required for files, decrease transfer time and optimise bandwidth usage

      - Lossy Compression - A compression technique that permanently discards some data during the compression process, resulting in a smaller file size but potential loss of quality
        
        reduces the file size by discarding some of the information, as certain data elements are permanently removed resulting in a smaller file size.
        
        examples: JPEG, MPEG, MP3
