- - - - How did the public/society respond to these changes (this may well address the flaws and limitations of policies introduced)
        
        While the country has stepped up its efforts in educating the young to be more sensitive and aware of their actions and behavior towards people of different races, it is common to still see casual racist remarks made in school or among the young. This even extends out to workplaces where employees would make remarks that unknowingly target a certain ethnicity group in society. Many still do not recognize this as a major issue since everyone's just brushing it off as a simple joke however the impact it has on the victims of the joke is irrevisble and can have a chain effect for future generations . A recent poll by the National Youth Council (NYC) found that two-thirds of youths have personally experienced or witnessed racial discrimination.
        
        The difference in religions/race lead to different cultural practices that may bring about discomfort and agitation to the rest of the population. Learning to accept one's culture is getting to know their practices and show understanding towards it however the differences in cultural practices may bring about disputes as one race may be significantly affected by other which co-exist with them.         Amidst the diversity and differences in our society, the policies that are implemented seem to have adverse effects. A policy is usually made to be enforce the people of the country to follow certain regulations or rules, while not entirely solving the problem of racial discrimination. The policy makers say that its the best course of action to take for the people to stay cohesive and harmonious however over time, acceptance of one's culture can slowly transition into tolerating one's culture if there is no progress on the relationship between the diverse ethic groups
        
        What was done after repeated evaluation of policies previously introduced to deal with discrimination

        Acts of casual racism can be seen as microaggression, ways to tackle the problem may include Onepeople.sg, a ground up advocacy body championing inter-racial and inter-religious understanding runs innovative programmes such as Explorations in Ethnicity.
        These sessions expose a diverse group of participants to their own prejudices and challenge stereotypes through a variety of experiential activities. Through a safe environment, participants are able to share their personal stories.

This can be done through school curricula, public campaigns, and diversity training programs.

        Advocacy for heated and relevant issues pertaining to youths or future generations. Youths are more proactive and loud in current affairs which takes a toll on their freedom and lives. With the permeation of social media in our lives, it has made it more accessible for youths to voice out their opinions and voices freely.Malala Yousafzai to adovate and break the proverbial glass ceiling that is preventing pakistani women from education and life long learning. Despite, being attacked, she spoke out publicly on behalf of girls and our right to learn. She earned the nobel peace price laureate in 2014. At that time, the pakistani taliban banned girls from education and this had lead to an international movement of trying to get 130 million girls are out of school, back to school
        
        Not all youths are concerned with societal impact, they concern with rather, the impact on their own lives, advocacy is just an avenue for them to express their personal opinions, while being oblivious to the societal impact.

        The constant exposure from social media and materialistic gains of others made it such that youths are constantly dissatisfied with their lives and impressionable young minds staring at their screens might develop pervasive anxiety that others may be experiencing a rewarding or enjoyable experience without you.

        Leading to toxic and hyper competitive nature of schools, where students compete against each other (establishment of bell curve, moderation) for grades. This makes it such that academic achievement is a necessary ingredient to obtain lifelong success
        
        In Singapore, the proliferation of the fear of lacking behind is coined as "kiasu". This is evidently clear in social platforms like, "kiasu parents" online platform, and sgexams on reddit. Anxiety and fear of lacking behind is vividly displayed through rants and limitless questions about extra-curricular activities. People are constantly making academic progress at astronomical speeds to catch up to the pace of others.
        
        Students should be focused on personally development instead of academic progress since its the learning that takes pride, not the results. The agenda of the education system has shifted drastically. "The cheat test example"
