He was dying. He knew he was. It was only a matter of time before he died with the company he kept. But he still felt betrayed and hurt. Especially hurt. Though, maybe that was because he was currently bleeding out on the floor as Hannibal looked down on him.
Hannibal was saying something and it took all the strength in my body to listen to whatever it was he was saying. I wasn't sure if I wanted to hear what he had to say, but I listened anyway.
"I have let you know me. See me. I gave you a rare gift, but you did not want it." It sounded as if he were confessing his love for me, but it sounded as if he hated to say it, like he thought he'd be rejected.
"Didn't I?" I asked between my struggling breaths.
Or; Will Graham has to deal with his conflicting feelings about Hannibal, chasing him all the way to Europe even after he betrayed him.
