Summer At Westgress - Coggle Diagram

- - - - Football is a physical and competitive sport. There are 2 teams which have multiple players on the pitch, the most is 11. The ball being played with is trying to get the ball in the opponents net, without conceding a goal themselves. These games are played as 45 minute halves with a 15 minute break in between. But at Summer At Westgress it will be shorter games as it gives more people, the opportunity to play.
    - - Striker
        
        The role of a striker is to beat the oppositions last line of defence and to score goals, benefiting your team and putting them in the lead. Strikers have to constantly be on their toes and to put themselves into certain positions to be able to receive the ball with space to dribble around them. Additionally, this position need to be skilful and strategic making the defence on the other team confused so the striker can get around them maintaining possession.
      - Midfielder
        
        A midfielder is a crucial part of football. They are called the play makers in football and have a very good reason to. Midfielders have the skill of looking up and passing the ball throughout different parts of the pitch, then creating new opportunities to be able to score against the other team. Midfielders help and support both defenders and attackers protecting both. They organize the team well because of this.
      - Defender
        
        The position of a defender can vary from roles, and these are where they sit in different spots in the back line. Their role is to prevent the opposition from attacking your team and stopping passes, and threatening shots towards goal. For example, they also play a major role when a corner is taking place as they have to clear the ball whilst maintaining possession.
      - Goalkeeper
        
        The position of a goalkeeper is to keep the ball from out of the net. They rule their 18yrd box giving instructions to outfield players on the pitch. They do this as they are able to see the whole pitch and holds the team together, being the team communicator. This makes everyone aware of their surroundings. They are able to touch the ball from inside of this 18yrd box, but if handled outside of this area (with their hands) a free kick will be awarded to the other team.
    - - Football (Supplied all by 'Summer At Westgress')
        
        The football is an essential part whilst playing the sport. This ball can not go out of the lines otherwise a throw in is awarded to the team who did not touch it last. As well, if the ball is touched from the hand-shoulder distance intentionally there will be given a free kick in the spot this action was done. However, if it was in the penalty spot and the defenders side touched it there will be a penalty awarded. The ball has to be suitable size and to be pumped up well before the match begins.
      - Football boots
        
        Football boots are worn on grass pitches to help grip into the ground. These moulds are also known as studs, in which avoid slipping as they are made well with a tight make holding the ankle in place. Football boots have the option of multiple styles and colours making it customisable for yourself.
      - Goalkeeper gloves
        
        Goalkeeper gloves are worn by a goalkeeper as they provide protection of the wrists, fingers and hands. The grip is from latex, which provides handling of the ball to be good. Gloves prevent the ball from hurting when a hard ball has been struck into the hands of a goalkeeper. Some gloves come with extra wrist straps to support their wrist strength even more, and some are with fingers with the metal in. This stops the goalkeepers fingers from bending back.
      - Shinpads
        
        Shin pads sit on your front part of your lower leg. It protects your tibia, fibula and soft tissue so no damage is done. Shin pads are comfortable that has a plastic design on the front but a softer material on the inside to make it as comfortable as can be. These are held up but either straps that come attached and the shin pad sleeves. Furthermore, the long football socks are also their to stop them from sliding and moving around. These socks are long for this reason.
  - - - Bowler
        
        A bowlers job is to throw the ball towards the batter. It has to be accurately thrown, and if not done for twice in a row half a rounder will be given to the opposition. This can be done every 2 bad bowls. After the ball has been hit by the batter, they will run to the bases, if the bowler has the ball within the bowlers box the batter cant run anymore, and prevents them progressing around the pitch.
      - Backstop
        
        The role of a backstop sits behind where the batters box is. They set ready for the ball to either be missed or hit behind. Backstops have the role of accurately throwing the ball to first or second base stopping the batters getting any sort of rounders. They need to have good reaction time, a powerful throw as well as accurate, and good focus. This also creates a good team.
      - Deep fielders
        
        A deep fielders role in rounders is to gain the ball after it has been struck. There is typically around 3 of these, depending on the teams positionings. Deep fielders can normally catch well, good reaction time, good communication and a strong accurate throw. All of this is part of a strong team to have.
      - Batters
        
        Finally, the batters role in rounders is to strike the ball from the bowler as far out, or even a strategic hit to try and run round as far as they can. If they get to 2nd base they get 1/2 a rounder. At first base you get nothing but also at the 3rd base you still only get 1/2 a rounder. However, if you make it to the 4th base you get a whole rounder. Finally, the bat is typically hit with one hand, the strongest dominant one.
      - Bases
        
        Bases on a rounders field sit at the first base, second base, third base and fourth. These stand in front of them on the inside stopping from getting obstruction ,and this can make us lose! They can get people out by the opposition running from the previous bae to the next and the person on the 'next base' stumps the ball on the post before they get there, they are out.
    - - Leather cased ball (Supplied by Westgress)
        
        A rounders ball is vital to use as it is the main source of the game, allowing it to begin. It is a hard material with leather surrounding it, being around 8 inches in circumference. The ball is thrown by the bowler, to the upcoming batter, and has been either hit or missed. It is then thrown to the needed base by the fielders team to try and get the batter out.
      - Rounders bat (Supplied by Westgress)
        
        In rounder's, when using the bat the batting team will use this. The part you hit with will be made out of either wood, thick bouncy plastic or metal. The long rounded handle provides grip so it doesn't slip out of the batters hand when a hit has been made. Furthermore, This has a truncheon shape to it.
      - Stumps for each base (Supplied by Westgress)
        
        Stumps and bases are used when playing rounders and there are 4 of each. Bases are rubber, which sit on the ground weighing down the stumps, preventing it from falling over. The stumps are tall, thin wooden sticks which mark each base in rounders. Running 2 of these on your first hit means you get half a rounder and completing all 4 means you get 1 whole rounder. The batters team are signalled to stay in contact with these so they can not be out. The fielders team usually have fielders on these to get the opposition out. To get them out any fielder has to put the ball on a stump, making contact, whilst the batter is running towards it, of a base.
    - - Rounders is a fielding and batting team which consists of 9 players each side. The fielders aim is to to get as many people out as they can and to stop the opposition scoring points. However, the batters teams goal is to get around the rounders field as quickly as possible, not letting the fielders get them out. This bat and ball game is hit by a wooden bat which is to be carried by the current batter. The ball thrown by the bowler is a leather cased, soft but efficient ball to use.
  - - - Limbo is also a non athletics event typically but as i mentioned before Summer At Westgress does not need to do exact rules of an activity. Limbo is for the flexible smaller groups. It will be sectioned into the team colours I made as well as age groups so 10 year olds will go with 10 year olds. I have sectioned it like this because of the height and flexibility range changes w=once older.
    - - A wheel barrow race is a typical party game where everyone can laugh whilst be competitive. It will be where the older ones will be standing up, unless any younger ones are confident and strong enough to do so.
    - - As one of my big main aims is to encourage teamwork relay race is another good example. This relay race can be so you run a certain length per person it teams. These teams will be the house colours but divided into smaller. The minimum one can run is 100m and they have to run a certain distance all together. For example 1500m.
    - - Even though tug of war is not within athletics, at Summer At Westgress it can be whatever we enjoy and like. Tug of war is strategic and can consist of a lot of teamwork as it is multiple on one rope at a time.

        There will be limited amount of bikes and donations for money towards will be put forward into the expenses such as bikes.

        Telephone links will be on every page that they click on so it is always on the screen. This allows questions and enquiries to be answered by the users. This creates efficiency and quickness so everything runs smoothly. Having questions in which are able to be taken in by staff can also benefit the advertisement by possibly changing things that need to be changed.

        Providing online links to book and make your dates comes with benefits. Within all of the pages and different links they can click on the website and decide their booking dates. This is efficient as people rely more on technology, social media as an every day item. This implies it will be promoted more so more and more people turn up.

TikTok is a good platform to benefit the brand, because of the quick videos you can make whilst editing them to make it look eye catchy and interactive. It provides areas for links and a lot of people to be tagged as the younger users may tag their friends and more.
    - - Fcaebook is for the older and more parental age for users. This allows the company and brand to expand on popularity because it can be seen by more and more people. Especially as you can mention people in comment sections or links.
    - - Instagram is more for older teenagers and young adults as it can be seen as a more complicated app to use. Despite these thoughts it has a lot of features to also mention people in other people posts allowing word to be spread.
    - - Twitter is also aimed for a older, parental age for users. This allows parents or grandparents to see the website. You can also mention and tag people in posts.
- - - - Choosing red as a colour for my house colours adds a vibrancy and traditionality to the 'Summer At Westgress' outdoor activity centre. Red can range from different vibrancy's and I will choose whichever one matches with the rest of the colours, the best.
