New Political Parties
The Independent Social Democratic Party (USPD) initially came into being in 1917, as a breakaway anti-war faction of the SPD. They were generally even more left-leaning than the SPD, and almost always governed alongside the SPD (when the SPD were in power).
The National Socialists (NSDAP), better known as the Nazi Party, was founded in January 1919 as the 'German Workers' Party (DAP). Its main beliefs centred around noationalism and staunch anti-Semitism. It strongly opposed the Republic, initially trying to dismatnelt via violence before working within the Parliamentary structure.
The German National People's Party (DNVP) was a right-wing Nationalist founded November 1918. They were disgraced by the ToV, and wanted the restoration of the Monarchy.
Economy
German Economic Failures
By 1919, national debt had risen from 5000 millions marks to 144,000 million marks
-
The Treaty of Versailles lead to a very dangerous over reliance on (mainly US) loans. They became very susceptible to Global Economic Shifts, as was clearly displayed by the Wall Street Crash
The annual inflation rate between 1919-23 was staggering, with it reaching 4,420 billion in November 1923
The rapid printing of money between 1919-22 caused a period of massive hyperinflation, with money loosing more value by the hour. Bartering became commonplace, and goods became spars as farmers and others refused to sell their goods.

The awful state of the economy up to and in 1923 lead to a surge in popularity of more extreme parties, such as the NSDAP
