usado quando temos certeza sobre uma ação futura e/ou evento, geralmente usado com expressões tais como: I think, I'm sure, I expect.
Estrutura:
+: subj + (will + be) + verb + compl.
-: subj + (won't + be) + verb + compl.
?: will + subj + be + verb + compl + ?
Exemplos:
+: I think they will buy a new house.
-: I expect they won't buy a new house.
?: Will they buy a new house?
may/might
Estrutura:
+: subj + may/might + verb + compl.
-: subj + may/might + not + verb + compl.
?: may/might + subj + verb + compl.
usado quando não se tem certeza, mas ainda acha que a ação é possível.
Exemplos:
+: I might win, but I'm not sure
-: I may not get there on time
?: may I ask you a question?
be going to

Estrutura:
+: subj + be going to + verb + compl.
-: subj + be + not + going to + verb + compl.
?: be + subj. + going to + verb + compl + ?
Exemplos:
+:Hey, be careful! You're going to fall

é usado para fazer previsões sobre o futuro, nunca com state verbs.
