Confucianism
Confucianism is religion or more so a way of life that believes in a hierarchy, morals, and kindness to one another.
Confucianism was started by a man, a teacher, named Confucius. Confucius was born during the Zhou Dynasty in 551 BCE. Confucius was born during a time of a lot of warfare in China which is what inspired him to restore harmony.
The Zhou dynasty was a time in China starting in 1100 BCE where the first written history was - In this time the people believed that the Emperor at that time was responsible over Harmony - It was believed that if there were any natural disasters or problems it was because the emperor was not living harmoniously and he would lose his title as emperor. This was called the Mandate of Heaven. This was also a time when warfare in China was extremely high.
The Mandate of Heaven was an ancient Chinese philosophical belief that determines wether an emperor is "virtuous" enough to rule.
Confucius did not believe in the Mandate of Heaven. Confucius believed that living in Harmoney did not depend on the emperor but solely on every individual and how they live.
Confucianism does not really focus on heaven because Confucius believed that where you go in the after life was a result of how you acted here and now.
Confucious believed that in order to get to a good place (heaven), here and now you would have to be kind, be moral, and follow your rituals ( which were communal in order to be closer to another) Confucious believed that you could not be harmonious alone and that human relation was importance for Harmony.
