Complex sentence
Adjective clauses
Also known as relative clauses, Adjective clauses are dependent clauses and they are in charge of giving information about the noun or a pronoun in a sentence.

They consist of dependent clauses that replace any pronoun or noun in a sentence; whether they are objects or subjects

Definition
A complex sentence consists of an independent clause and at least one dependent clause. In this type of sentences the dependent clause starts with a subordinating conjunction.
Although it was too hot outside, he was wearing a coat.
While I was careful to observe my surroundings, I almost tripped walking up to my door since I couldn’t see in the darkness.

Adverb clauses
They are dependent clauses (can not stand alone) containing a subordinate conjunction as a linker to be joined with another clause.
