Food riots: lack of food in cities.
Fiscal policy and oppression caused by noblemen -> started peasants revolts.
Military conscription and the fiscal policy of the monarchies.
1. POPULATION
15th and 16th centuries, the death rate increased. The main reasons:
Wars: the Thirty Years’ Wars, civil wars: the English Civil War.
Epidemics: wars and malnutrition helped the plague to spread.
Poor harvests: a series of poor harvests resulted in famines.
Poor hygiene: few medical care.
ATLANTIC TRIANGULAR TRADE
Trade system from: the 16th to the 19th century.
Companies worked in and around the West Indies and the East Indies, exchanging: silver for spices.
