Perimeter: The length/distance around something/shape/building
Area: is the amount of space within the perimeter of a 2D shape. It is measured in square units, such as cm², m², etc.
Surface Area: is the amount of space covering the outside of a three-dimensional shape
Surface area: is the total area of all of the surfaces/faces that make up a 3 D shape. It is calculated by calculating the area of each face and then adding the areas up.

Base: a face of that shape that is located on the bottom of the shape, for prisms it has to have a congruent and parallel side.

Scale:The numbers on the outside arc, there are two sets which means you can start reading it from either end.
Baseline: the black line that goes the length of the straight edge of the protractor, this will be used to line up with one of the legs of the angle.
Vertex or Center point (origin): this is the point/circle/hole, or cross hairs that is in the middle of the straight edge and in the center of the hemisphere (half circle) of the arc.
-
Arms/Legs: Angles are made up of arms/legs, these are the sides of the angles, this will be used to line the baseline with as well as to measure how big the angle is.
Vertex: The center of the angle, where the arms/legs meet, the intersection point of the lines or rays.
