McDonalds uses yellow because it's eye-appealing and warming which influences buyers to eat from there
Yellow is an uncommon color to use and is not always the first color you see. Companies that expect to bring in customers should steer free of yellow
Companies that use yellow: McDonald's, Denny's, Best Buy, Subway
Green
Some green marketing examples include: Creating eco-friendly products, using eco-friendly product packaging made from recycled materials, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions from production processes.
Green can be associated with greed and jealousy so using it in brands where the focus is not environmentally centered could be problematic.
Psychological Effects: hopefulness, wealth, forgiveness, comfort, energy
Spotify, Starbucks, Land Rover, Sprite
Red
Psychological effects: - Dominance, anger, aggression, attractiveness
McDonalds uses red to entice appetitie, which works well for them.
Red can be overbearing on the eyes, can be interpreted as a warning or cautionary
Restaurants use red to stimulate appetites, travel sites use red to evoke energy and curiosity, and nonprofits to promote action
Blue
Psychological Effects: protects, calms, relaxes, supports
Blue creates a sense of security while showing loyalty and professionalism. It is used by various businesses related to software, finance, pharmaceutical industry, government and banks.
Blue is associated with knowledge, trust and accessibility. This is probably one of the main reasons so many companies decide to use this color for their logo. These are often companies that want to reach as many people as possible to show they are reliable and trustworthy.
Some blue hues can cause problems or push potential customers away, so choosing the correct shade is very important.
