Labour laws are crucial for the smooth operation of businesses. It fully explains and sets forth the company's commitment to its employees. A worker's rights are fully protected by labour laws, they also protect people from being taken advantage of.

Crown Corporations
Crown corporations are corporations run by federal or provincial governments, they are directly and wholly owned by the Crown. Crown corporations represent a specific form of a state-owned enterprise.
Why there important:
Crown corporations are generally formed to fill a need that the federal or provincial government deems in the national interest or is not profitable for private industry.
Some examples of crown corperations are CBC news,Via Rail inc,Canada post, and many more these companies are mostly non profit and are made by the government.

The government can be corupted and self serving from time to time. Governments hold extreme power over there people and have access to information that is not generally known. By this governments can use Insider trading wich refers to the illegal practise of public officials using confidential information for financial gain.
Examples of this can be US senators selling a part of there stock portfollio after a private briefing about the damage COVID-19 would do to the stock market.
