Mildred
There had been no night in the last two years that Mildred had not swum that sea, had not gladly gone down in it for the third time.
But that was another Mildred, that was a Mildred so deep inside this one, and so bothered, really bothered, that the two women had never met.
Montag
"He was all fire, he was all coldness".
Paradox- oxymoron, one cannot be both cold and hot,

Mrs Clara Phelps
"Caesarians or not, children are ruinous; you're out of your mind"
"Did you hear them, did you hear these monsters talking about monsters? Oh God, the way they jabber about people and their own children and themselves and the way they talk about their husbands and the way they talk about war, dammit, I stand here and I can't believe it."
Polysyndeton used here to describe Mrs. B and Mrs. P as monsters- in human- puts emphasis on every aspect of them- as if it is overwhelming for Montag.
Mrs Bowles
"You heave them into the parlour and turn the switch. It's like washing clothes: stuff laundry in and slam the lid."
Dehumanizing of children- they are being compared to inanimate objects, and perhaps the parlour is like the washing machine, in that it "cleans" the children.
The words 'slam' and 'stuff' are colloquial and are certainly not typical words used to describe one's child.
That Mrs B wanted a C-section even though she did not need one, shows that humans are deviating from natural processes and no longer want to put in effort for anything.
