Patterns of migration
Laos has a negertive net migration patter with over 1.2 million Laotians living abroad and only 20,000 foriegners living within the country.
In 2017 45/10,000 people emigrated.
Over 900,000 Laotians live in Thailand and 200,000 live in the US.
Reasons for emmigration

Poor educatation in Laos means that many Laotians are low sklled opening up low skilled jobs in Thailand.
