Separation of Substances
Handpicking
Threshing
Decantation
Winnowing
This process of separating grains from stalks is known as threshing.
Process
Once the stalks have completely dried, the farmer beats them against a hard floor to free the grains.
Winnowing is the method in which heavier element of the substances are separated from the lighter substances with the help of wind.
Magnetic separation
Evaporation
Sieving
Filtration
Sedimentation
Sieving is use to separate substances that are smaller or bigger in size.
Sedimentation is when the heavier component settles down when water is added to the mixture .
When water is removed along with the water dust also gets removed and it's called decantation.
When strain tea we see the tea leaf's are still there and the liquid is still in the cup this is called filtration.
When water dries up into water vapor it's called Evaporation.
Magnetic separation is when we use a magnet to attract magnetic components.
