animal life has been on earth for around 800 million years according to scientists
we are in the Holocene Epoch era at this day
what were five mass extinctions
End Ordovician (444 million years ago; mya)
Late Devonian (360 mya)
End Permian (250 mya)
End Triassic (200 mya) – many people mistake this as the event that killed off the dinosaurs. But in fact, they were killed off at the end of the Cretaceous period – the fifth of the ‘Big Five’.
End Cretaceous (65 mya) – the event that killed off the dinosaurs.
evolution
evolution is when something starts off as not very adapt to its surrounding environment but then after millions of years they will adapt to their surrounding by eg:getting sharper teeth or growing wings.
we have evolved from the first cells by having very very intelligent minds and having different kinds of teeth for different kinds of food we also got better posture and we are basically completley living communicating and intelligent versions of cells and other animals.
homo sapiens were the first ever sign of human life and fist appeared 300,000 years ago and considering how old the planet is we are only part of a very small time period
scientists believe that Homosapiens first reach Britain about 40,000 years ago
human features include:teeth, fingers, eyes, very intelligent brain, limbs, sometimes muscle, sometimes fat, skin colour and hair
big bang
the big bang was when the particles in the atmosphere collided and created a catostrophic explosion which formed the sun and dust particles around it the big bang also gave the sun a gravitational field so that things could orbit it
how the planets were formed
the dust particles around the sun caused by the big bang eventually began to clump together and form planets
what is the order of the planets?
Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune
