DIATHESIS STRESS- genes create a vulnerability for mental health conditions which are triggered by other biological/ environmental factors

RECREATIONAL DRUGS- easier access, can form as a method of escapism, PCP, amphetamine and ketamine. oxford 65% sleeping rough with a mental illness also have substance issues, 27% without mental illness
ROSENHAN- found that depersonalisation and derealisation due to being ignored by everyone due to label/ labelling/ SFP

CITY LIFE/ URBAN AREAS- city has many triggers for mental health problems: anonymity, noise, light and air pollution. pedersen and morresen- living in capital city increases risk of having mental health condition by 1.4 conditions and individuals who have lived there for first 15 years of their life
