Vertebrates can be classified in 5 different groups
AMPHIBIANS
Ampibians have a bare skin
Most ampibians have four legs and some also have tail
Amphibians are oviparous
Adult ampibians breath through their skin. For example frogs
Tadpoles are baby amphibians that live in water and breath through gills
FISH
FISH
Fish are aquatic animals that cannot live outside water
Fish are oviparous animals
They are covered with scales
They breathe air through their gills
Baby fish, called fry, can swim as soon as they hatch from the egg
VERTEBRATE ANIMALS
All vertebrates have an internal skeleton made up of bones. The skeleton includes a backbone
A backbone consists of ring-like bones called vertebrae
BIRDS
Birds are oviparous(bron from an egg
Birds breath air with their lungs
Most birds can fly but a few cannot.. Penguins cannot fly and use their wings to swim
Birds have feathers
Birds dont have teeth. they eat with their beaks
Some birds live on land and in the water. They eat whit their beaks
REPTILES
They breathe whit their lungs
Their skin is covered whit scales
Most reptiles are terrestial(live on land) but some are aquatic,for example marine turtles
Most reptiles have four legs but snakes don´t have legs
Mammals
Most mammals have hair or fur on their bodies
There are different kinds of mammals. Most of them live on land, some live in water(aquatic mammals) and a few such as the bat can fly
Mammals are viviparous(the baby develops inside the mother´s womb) and Young mammals drink their mother´s milk
