Management of staff
Set clear performance expectations and goals for each staff member.
Provide regular training and professional development opportunities to enhance staff knowledge and skills.
Assign specific duties and responsibilities to each staff member based on their skills and expertise.
Promote work-life balance and employee well-being to prevent burnout and enhance job satisfaction.
Management of work flow
Provide 3 steps: Pre-analytic (sample collection, sample receipt and sample transport), analytic (quality control) , post-analytic (reporting and record keeping)
Provide SOP in lab.
Management of safety
Make sure all the staff in lab has basic safety knowledge and also representative frpm lab as Safety Committee member.
Assure there have first aid kit and personal safety equipment in all the lab.
Make sure all the reagents are well labelling.
Management of daily operation
Ensure the availability of necessary equipment, reagents, and supplies for daily operations.
Maintain accurate records of test results, data, and documentation following laboratory guidelines.
Address any technical or operational issues promptly to minimize disruption and ensure continuous workflow.
Management of Quality
Establish and maintain a quality management system (QMS) tailored to the specific needs of the cytology lab.
Regularly monitor and evaluate the performance of laboratory equipment, reagents, and stains.
Provide ongoing training and education to staff on quality-related topics and techniques.
