Isometric Projection
When we present a 3D design through the use of three-dimensional drawings, the drawings are also known as axonometric projection.
One of the more commonly used axonometric projections is isometric drawing. Isometric means equal measure
Isometric drawings are constructed on 3 axes that divide the circle equally.
facing my left is isometric and facing my right is not
Autodesk Fusion 360
Fusion 360 is a cloud-based 3D modeling, CAD, CAM, CAE, and PCB software platform for product design and manufacturing
Push the limits with 3D modeling: Design and make products with parametric, freeform, direct, and surface 3D modeling tools.
Engineer precision for all workflows: Reduce the impact of design and engineering changes with centralized collaboration and simulations.
Isometric Axes
In the image on the left, the three axes shown (in blue, red and green) are 120° apart.
In isometric drawing, the vertical lines will also stay vertical.
Another way isometric projection can be visualized is by considering a view within a cubical room starting in an upper corner and looking towards the opposite, lower corner.
