I see both views because they are principles of ethics. However teleological ethics determines goodness and badness by looking at its action whereas deontological ethics determines goodness and badness by looking at the action.
Deontological ethics is how our justice system views goodness or badness, you are innocent until proven guilty.
Teleological ethics determines goodness and badness by there consequences. I don't see the connection in this or the logic. Consequences should be determined after the action not prior to. However, on the other hand the police department does determine your actions by consequences, you are guilty until proven innocent when it comes to other officers.
