If the schools in Alberta start later, the grades will go up and Alberta will produce smarter kids.
Schools in Alberta should start later in the morning because sleep has proven to be helpful in learning and memorizing.
History and background
In the 1950s to the late 1960s, there came a push for school to begin earlier in the morning.
In the 1800s, school began at 9am and ended at 4pm with a one-hour time period for lunch and recess called "nooning".
Because of the push for earlier start times, some school started at 7:45 which is not good for you.
