Childhood
She was born in Alabama on February the 4th 1913. Her parents separated when she was a girl .She went to live on her grandparent's farm.

She attended a secondary school for black children . They all had to walk to school , while the white children attended their own school and were provided with a bus to get there.
Black children had to walk and go to school for blacks, instead white children went to a school for whites and were accompanied by buses.

What happened next?
Indeed, the bus driver did go on to call the police and Rosa was arrested .On December the 5th 1955, Rosa was found guilty and fined
The bus boycott
The bus boycott was supported by the black community and also some white people .For 381days 40.000 peopledid not use the buses in Montgomery.
Rosa' s victory
Eventually,the governament noticed and finally laws
were passed to remove segregation on buses.The boycott officially ended on December 20th 1956

There was still a lot of violence after the laws changed. Some white people bombed black churches and houses.
