Mass Media
Television
It is a means of communication that provides entertainment, culture and education programs, transmitting images and sounds.
Advantages
Greater coverage, diverse programming, it can be used as an educational resource, facts and data from other places are known.
Disadvantages
family isolation, creates dependency, negative programming, takes time, false news.
My opinion
Television as a means of communication has been extremely important because it allows us to be informed, but at the same time we waste too much important time sitting in front of the television watching a program for hours.
Importance
It allows millions of people from all over the world to resort to it immediately and easily. As vision is the sense that provides a more direct experience of things, television gives off the feeling that what is seen on it is reality, and for this reason it contributes powerfully to forming public opinion.
Radio
Radio is a means of communication that is based on the sending of audio signals through radio waves, although the term is also used for other forms of remote audio delivery such as Internet radio.
Advantages
Given its simplicity, any message can be transmitted very quickly. Another positive aspect is a cheap way to keep the population informed. It allows real-time interaction with your audience. It has a high immediacy to get the news across.
Disadvantages
It is not for deaf people. It does not stimulate visually, it requires greater concentration. Situations or messages can be misinterpreted by not being able to observe the issuer.
Importance
It allows science, culture, education and information to be brought to the most remote regions and the most marginalized population groups on the planet, be they women, children and young people, or disabled, illiterate and poor people.
My opinion
Listening to the radio is an instrument for education and its potential is implicit when it fulfills functions of educating, informing and guiding society in a dynamic way, with a message. For example for health promotion and disease prevention.
Cellphone
Has been defined as: "as a personal, interactive, internet-enabled and user-controlled portable platform that provides for the exchange of and sharing of personal and non-personal information among users who are inter-connected.
Mobile phones are one of the primary sources of communication these days. They have become smaller, and there is no longer a need to connect them with wires. This somewhat makes it easier to carry them anywhere and stay connected with the people we want over text messages, audio or video calls, emails, etc.
The use of a smartphone has many positive aspects. They are not only good for convenience, but also provide information such as maps without the need to look up directions. It is easy to download and store music or videos on your phone.
It include loss of privacy when your phone is stolen or hacked. Cell phones can also lead to addiction because many apps and games are designed to keep users engaged.
Nowadays, mobile phones are seen in people’s daily lives. As people live in the technological world, the devices have become a necessity in every human being. Just like the surroundings around people, such as friends, mobile devices have both positive and negative effects in people’s lives.
