LEXICAL RELATIONS
SYNONYMY
Words with similar meanings. For example big and large, small and little.
HYPONYMY
Is when the meaning of one form is included in the meaning of a large other form. For example daisy is hyponym of flower, carrot is hyponym of vegetable.
HOMOPHONY
The same pronunciation but different spell and different meaning. For example sea and see, bare and bear.

HOMONYMY
Are forms that sound the same, spelled the same but they have unrelated meanings. For example bank (in the side of a river) bank (financial institution).
POLYSEMY
Words that are the same, spelled the same, they sound the same but they have related meanings often based on metaphor. For example foot (an anatomical part) (foot of the table).
METONYMY
It's the idea that you're referring to one thing based on some close realtionship to another thing. For example table 14 needs water.
