Frederic Henry was a young American ambulance driver in the Italian Army in the WWI. He falls in love with Catherine, an English nurse but she died after giving birth to their still-born child

Ernest Hemingway was born neat Chicago in 1899 and he worked for a newspaper. During WWI he was an ambulance driver in the Italian Army. He travelled a lot and worked in Paris, Florida, Spain and Cuba and most of his novels describe the places that he visited. He died in Idaho in 61' and he married four times and had three children.
