Why dying forests are bad
The world will be less beautiful.
The world will have fewer beautiful forests.
There will be fewer beautiful houses made of wood.
Cities will have fewer beautiful trees and parks.
It hurts people's jobs.
Many people who sell things made of wood will lose their jobs.
Many people who sell wood will lose their jobs.
Many tour guides who take people on forest trips will lose their jobs.
It's bad for the environment.
Trees help catch bad gases. With fewer trees, these gases would make the world hotter.
Trees help clean the air. With fewer trees, the air would be dirtier.
Many animals in the forest will lose their homes.
What countries can do to save the forests
Plant more trees.
Plant trees in places where there were no trees before.
Plant more trees in cities and parks.
Plant trees in places where the trees have died.
Make laws to help forests.
When a tree is cut down, a new one should be planted.
Only let a small number of trees be cut each year.
Give money to companies that use less electricity and gas.
Teach people how and why to save forests.
Teach kids in school why forests are important.
Make posters that tell normal people how to help forests.
Teach companies how to help forests.

Join groups that work to save forests.
Join groups that plant new trees together.
Join groups that help teach more people how to save forests.
Join groups that ask their cities to make new laws that help forests.
Use fewer things made from trees.
Buy things not made of wood.
Recycle things you don't need that are made of wood
Type on your computer instead of writing on paper.
Use less electricity and gas.
Turn off the light in rooms you are not using.
Use electricity made from sun light to warm your house.
Ride bikes or walk instead of driving.
