Sheltered content instruction: Its porpose is to make the pupils understand the content. For the use of this model in the EFL classroom the teacher has to modify the lesson (vocabulary, speed, pace, and others), so students can grasp the material. In general terms, the strategies used by language teachers in this model make the content approachable to students (Stryker & Leaver, 1997).
